The thesis
Incumbent dealer-management systems are closed monoliths that innovate slowly; their switching cost protects them but also traps them. Hyperscalers carry neither the automotive domain nor the canonical vehicle data. That leaves a gap: no one has built the open, AI-native infrastructure layer the whole industry needs.
We start where the data and the daily workflow live - the DMS that runs a dealership - and turn it into a platform: canonical vehicle data with lineage, valuations that show their sources and a confidence interval, and inventory intelligence that prices both the car and the time it takes to sell. Then it grows outward, one module at a time, across everyone who touches a vehicle.
How we build
Augment, don't replace
Land alongside the systems a dealer already runs, prove value on one module, then expand - no rip-and-replace risk.
Open by default
Owned data in open formats and versioned contracts, so compute is interchangeable and an ecosystem can form on top.
AI that shows its work
Every recommendation carries a confidence score and its sources - trustworthy for a dealer, auditable for a regulator.
Sovereign by design
In-region data residency and a per-source licensing strategy, built in from day one rather than bolted on.

He has built production data platforms and business intelligence on a modern cloud and data stack, with hands-on experience of automotive data - the rare combination this infrastructure demands. VehIQ is architected from the start for data ownership, versioned contracts and outcome logging - building the moat at day one, not as an afterthought.
